About Us – Circular Materials
Circular Materials is an innovative clean-tech company focused on the recovery and valorization of strategic metals and critical raw materials from industrial effluents.
The company has developed and patented a proprietary technological platform for Supercritical Water Precipitation (SWaP™), capable of achieving recovery rates exceeding 99%, reducing toxic waste production, and minimizing environmental impact compared to traditional mining processes.
In March 2025, Circular Materials was selected by the European Commission as a Strategic Project under the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA)—one of only a few projects chosen in Italy and across Europe. This recognition highlights our key role in strengthening the resilience of supply chains and developing a sustainable alternative to primary extraction.
Circular Materials is currently executing an ambitious expansion plan at both the national and European levels, aimed at establishing a network of industrial hubs designed to treat large volumes of waste and transform them into secondary raw materials.
We partner with industrial companies to:
Treat metal-bearing effluents.
Reduce disposal costs and environmental impact.
Recover critical raw materials and reintegrate them into the production supply chain.
Our goal is to build a new European industrial infrastructure for metal recovery, unlocking the value of existing industrial flows.
The Role
We are looking for a Project & Grants Designer (Mid/Senior) to play a central role in the company’s strategic development by securing public funding and structuring innovative projects. This role extends beyond grant writing; it involves building and structuring complex industrial initiatives, from the initial concept phase through to presentation and implementation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, designing and writing project proposals, and managing funded projects. You will work closely with technical, R&D, strategy, and commercial teams, as well as external partners. This role requires the ability to grasp complex technical-industrial content (chemical processes, plant engineering, circular economy) and translate it into structured, coherent, and competitive proposals at both national and European levels.
Scouting & Monitoring: Identifying calls for proposals and funding opportunities (Horizon Europe, Innovation Fund, EIC, National funds in Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and regional funds).
Strategic Alignment: Analyzing the consistency between funding opportunities and corporate strategy.
Grant Writing: Designing and drafting comprehensive project proposals.
Internal Coordination: Managing contributions from R&D, Lab, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Strategy.
Financial Modeling: Developing project budgets and economic-financial models in collaboration with the Finance team.
Stakeholder Management: Managing relationships with industrial partners, universities, research centers, and public institutions.
Negotiation Support: Assisting in the negotiation and formalization of funded projects.
Project Oversight: Monitoring project progress and ensuring technical-economic reporting.
Compliance: Managing documentation and ensuring adherence to grant requirements and regulations.
Identify funding opportunities aligned with the technological and industrial development of Circular Materials.
Lead the creation of competitive proposals with high innovation content.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders throughout all project phases.
Ensure strict adherence to deadlines and call requirements.
Guarantee the correct management and reporting of funded projects.
Contribute to the development of strategic partnerships (Industry, Research, Institutions).
