An interview with Francesco Marchese.

The Interview

What are your responsibilities at Circular Materials?

I work in research and development on both pre- and post-processing. My goal is to experiment with and integrate chemical-physical processes to optimize wastewater treatment through our plants and recover metals, as well as actively contribute to the development of increasingly efficient new recipes.

What is your educational background?

I earned a diploma as a Higher Technician in Nanotechnologies. During this program, I had the opportunity to fully immerse myself in a laboratory environment, which sparked my strong interest in research

How have you developed your skills at CM?

The laboratory experience I gained during my studies forms the foundation of my work approach in developing new treatment systems. At Circular Materials, I have the opportunity to conduct experiments on a small scale and subsequently carry out the related scale-up processes.

How would you describe your relationship with the team?

I have an excellent relationship with the team, both inside and outside of work. Our similar age and educational backgrounds facilitate effective communication and constant mutual learning.

What aspects of Circular Materials’ project do you appreciate the most?

Sustainability and technological innovation are the key and most exciting aspects of the company. The opportunity to work on the development of new technologies continually provides fresh motivation and challenges.
