On September 12, in Rome, the award ceremony for the winners of the PIMBY Green 2025 Prize took place. The initiative, organized by Assoambiente, celebrates every year the projects that turn sustainability and innovation into a true driver of national competitiveness — a recognition dedicated to those who say yes to projects that create tangible value for the country.
The PIMBY philosophy – Please In My Backyard – represents a culture of action, encouraging institutions and companies to support public-interest initiatives and infrastructure projects. It stands in contrast to the NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) attitude, which reflects a reluctance to host new developments locally.
Our business model is deeply aligned with this vision: we recover valuable metals from industrial wastewater, preventing their dispersion into the environment or landfills.
Our Hubs turn an environmental challenge into a resource for the community, generating clean water, reducing local pollution, and helping supply Europe with the critical raw materials it needs.
More recovery means less waste: less landfill, lower environmental impact, reduced need for new extraction, and fewer CO₂ emissions — a full-circle contribution to the green and circular transition.
For us, PIMBY means saying yes:
This recognition strengthens our belief that the future of competitiveness lies in embracing innovations that communities can proudly host in their own backyard.
Receiving the award in Rome were Riccardo Momoli, Director BD & Partnerships, and Fabio Montefiori, COO of Circular Materials, who received it directly from Chicco Testa, President of Assoambiente.
We would like to sincerely thank Assoambiente, the award organizers, and all our partners and colleagues who make our mission possible every day: turning industrial waste challenges into opportunities for the planet and the economy.
