From November 4 to 7, 2025, Circular Materials participated in Ecomondo – Italian Exhibition Group, the leading European event for the green and circular economy held in Rimini, Italy.
For Circular Materials, Ecomondo was more than a trade fair—it was a strategic platform to connect with innovators, companies, researchers, and policymakers driving a more resilient, efficient, and regenerative industrial model.
At Ecomondo 2025, Circular Materials demonstrated how its SWaP technology can recover high-purity metals and critical raw materials (CRMs) from complex industrial waste streams.
Our message — from wastewater to strategic resources — resonated throughout the event, highlighting the urgent need to reduce dependence on virgin resources and recover what is still too often lost.
During the event, Circular Materials showcased its solutions through three main presentations:
Riccardo Momoli, BD & Partnerships Director, presented RECOVER-IT, Circular Materials’ strategic project for recovering critical metals from industrial wastewater, boosting sustainability and competitiveness in European industries.
Riccardo Momoli shared Circular Materials’ mission with the European Raw Materials ecosystem, showcasing collaboration opportunities, case studies, and the impact of circular solutions on industrial wastewater management.
Marco Bersani, CEO and Co-founder, pitched our EIC-backed innovation to European investors and decision-makers, explaining the strategic value of our technology for energy-intensive, manufacturing, and extraction sectors.
Over the three days at Ecomondo, our team immersed itself in the core of circular innovation:
Every interaction confirmed that industrial sustainability relies on intelligent recovery of resources, turning waste into value.
For Circular Materials, Ecomondo is more than an event: it’s an accelerator for our vision.
We firmly believe that industry should not be on the sidelines of the sustainable transition, but at the center.
Recovery, recycling, and valorisation technologies, like those we are developing, are not optional but strategic levers to build a European manufacturing sector where developing safer and more resilient industrial supply chains is a priority, allowing waste to become value.
We thank our European partners who hosted and supported us – from EIT RawMaterials to the EIC community – and everyone who visited us.
Our mission continues: transforming industrial wastewater into strategic resources, driving the transition to a truly circular economy, and helping build a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable industrial system.
Follow us to discover what’s next: new technologies, new projects, and new steps toward a circular future.
