Procurement Manager

Circular Materials specializes in recycling, recovering, and valorizing metals and critical raw materials (#CRMs) from industrial wastewater. Using cutting-edge patented technologies, we transform the traditional linear consumption model, accelerating the transition to a circular economy and converting waste into valuable resources. Recognized for our impact,  we have been selected by the European Commission as a Strategic Project  under the Critical Raw Materials Act, alongside three other projects in Italy and 46 across Europe.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Procurement Manager who will be responsible for managing contracts and
sourcing materials, machinery, and strategic services for the company, ensuring compliance with timelines, costs, and
quality standards.

After an initial onboarding period, your main focus will be on our new plant, where you will support the Technical Office in
procuring machinery and services, including external engineering, construction, installation, and plant commissioning.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in contract management and supplier negotiations, as well as
availability for business trips to suppliers and plant sites.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage the entire procurement process, from request for quotation to negotiation and contract preparation.
  • Identify, select, and qualify new suppliers to optimize costs and ensure product and service quality.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Office to define technical specifications and support the procurement of
    machinery, plants, and engineering services.
  • Negotiate and manage supply contracts, framework agreements, and purchase orders ensuring
    compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor order status, resolve potential issues, and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for supply chain optimization and cost reduction.
  • Oversee expediting activities to ensure timely project deliveries.
  • Conduct supplier and plant site visits (HUB1) for supervision and progress control.

Requirements:

  • Studies in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in industrial, plant engineering, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong supply contract management skills, including knowledge of regulations and contractual clauses.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and supplier management skills.
  • Experience in purchasing industrial machinery, plants, and engineering services.
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers and plant sites, particularly our new plant.
  • Fluent in English for international contract negotiations and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.

Contract: Metalworking Industry.
Work hours & location: Monday to Friday.
Contract: full-time, open-ended contract.
Remuneration: €35.000,00 – €50.000,00 per year.
