HSE Specialist

Circular Materials specializes in recycling, recovering, and valorizing metals and critical raw materials (#CRMs) from industrial wastewater. Using cutting-edge patented technologies, we transform the traditional linear consumption model, accelerating the transition to a circular economy and converting waste into valuable resources. Recognized for our impact, we have been selected by the European Commission as a Strategic Project under the Critical Raw Materials Act, alongside three other projects in Italy and 46 across Europe.

We’re expanding our team and looking for an HSE Specialist with training and qualifications as an ASPP and/or RSPP certification to support our company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental management system.

Experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)is a major plus, as this plays a key role in improving the environmental impact of our activities.

Key responsibilities:

Manage and take responsibility for all environmental permitting activities
Liaise with external authorities (Province, Region, Health and Environmental Agencies, consultants, HSE representatives) for permitting and compliance
Manage and/or support the Prevention and Protection Service (SPP) in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08.
Collaborate on risk assessments, and the preparation and updating of HSE documentation (DVR, DUVRI, emergency plans), DUVRI, and emergency plans.
Conduct periodic inspections, environmental and safety analyses, and identify risk conditions
Coordinate or support HSE-related training and information activities for employees
Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Support the integration and management of certification systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

A distinctive element of the role will be contributing to environmental sustainability through:

Managing or supporting LCA studies for products, processes, or facilities
Collecting and analyzing environmental data across the product life cycle
Collaborating with other departments (e.g., R&D, Production, Quality, Commercial) to integrate ecodesign and carbon footprint strategies into operations

Basic knowledge of ISO 14040/14044 standards is considered an asset.

As ASPP and/or RSPP, you may also be involved in:

Identifying and assessing specific risks (chemical, mechanical, ergonomic, etc.)
Proposing technical and organizational prevention and protection measures
Working closely with company leadership to manage workplace safety
Planning and managing corrective and improvement actions
Coordinating with other internal or external ASPPs (if acting as RSPP)
Preparing periodic reports on the company’s safety performance

Requirements:

Degree in a technical or scientific field (preferably Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences,
or Prevention Techniques)
Valid ASPP and/or RSPP certification
At least 2 years of experience in HSE roles
Solid knowledge of current safety and environmental regulations
Ability to draft and update technical HSE documentation
Strong command of Microsoft Office; familiarity with HSE software is a plus

Contract: Metalworking Industry.
Work hours & location: Full-time, Monday to Friday; Cadoneghe (PD).
Contract: full-time, open-ended contract.
Remuneration: €35,000.00 – €60,000.00 per year.
Benefit: meal vouchers.
Additional compensation: 13th-month salary.
