About Us – Circular Materials
Circular Materials is an innovative clean-tech company focused on the recovery and valorization of strategic metals and critical raw materials from industrial effluents.
The company has developed and patented a proprietary technological platform for Supercritical Water Precipitation (SWaP™), capable of achieving recovery rates exceeding 99%, reducing toxic waste production, and minimizing environmental impact compared to traditional mining processes.
In March 2025, Circular Materials was selected by the European Commission as a Strategic Project under the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA)—one of only a few projects chosen in Italy and across Europe. This recognition highlights our key role in strengthening the resilience of supply chains and developing a sustainable alternative to primary extraction.
Circular Materials is currently executing an ambitious expansion plan at both the national and European levels, aimed at establishing a network of industrial hubs designed to treat large volumes of waste and transform them into secondary raw materials.
We partner with industrial companies to:
Treat metal-bearing effluents.
Reduce disposal costs and environmental impact.
Recover critical raw materials and reintegrate them into the production supply chain.
Our goal is to build a new European industrial infrastructure for metal recovery, unlocking the value of existing industrial flows.
The Role
We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer with 3–5 years of experience, capable of operating effectively at the intersection of technical expertise and commercial strategy.
The successful candidate will work directly in the field, engaging with industrial plants and production processes to identify, analyze, and develop effluent flows with high metal content for recovery and transformation into Secondary Raw Materials. This role requires a consultative and hands-on approach: from site visits and discussions with HSE and production managers to understanding complex processes and performing technical and economic qualifications.
You will manage the entire commercial cycle—from initial lead identification to final operational supply—working in close integration with our Lab, Operations, and R&D teams.
Identify and develop commercial opportunities with industrial companies generating metal-bearing waste.
Build direct relationships with technical and environmental stakeholders through on-site production visits.
Manage the full sales process: prospect qualification, mapping recovery opportunities at production sites, qualifying recovery processes, and negotiating Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Coordinate sample collection and technical qualification of flows in collaboration with the lab and technical teams.
Perform technical-economic feasibility studies by analyzing effluent characteristics from identified processes.
Develop relationships with environmental operators and intermediaries for flow aggregation.
Maintain and update the CRM and commercial pipeline tracking tools.
