What are your responsibilities at Circular Materials?
I initially focused on sustainability and regulatory compliance, conducting LCA studies to assess the impact of our processes and products and supporting authorization pathways such as REACH and End-of-Waste. Over time, my role has evolved toward a more technical and sales-oriented position, where I work directly with clients to translate their needs into technical solutions and support our commercial development.
What is your educational background?
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Technology, with an experimental thesis on floating systems for water purification. I then completed a master’s in Sustainable Chemistry and Technologies for Circular Economy at the University of Padua, focusing my thesis on decarbonization and biocoal production in steel plants.
How have you developed your skills at CM?
A scientific–analytical approach is essential to tackling the multidisciplinary challenges I encounter. Working closely with experienced colleagues and consultants is giving me the opportunity to better understand the interface between a tech startup and the public sector, as well as to deepen my knowledge of more technical and process-related topics.
How would you describe your relationship with the team?
I’m very satisfied with the team dynamic, also thanks to our similar age and academic background. There’s constant dialogue and idea-sharing, which creates a positive and collaborative environment.
What aspects of Circular Materials’ project do you appreciate the most?
CM’s mission is what convinced me to join. We truly have the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable future by returning valuable materials to the market—materials that today are mostly considered waste—while also reducing the risks tied to a supply chain heavily concentrated in critical and environmentally less responsible regions.
